Feasibility Study with Preliminary Design, Detail Design and Supervision of construction of Kostolac Port

Detailed Project summary

In the domain of electric power generation within the Kostolac coal basin, future investments are targeted towards, among other, construction of block B3, and construction of TPP Kostolac B blocks flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) plant. For the process of desulfurization, about 170,000 tons of limestone a year need to be delivered. The product of desulfurization is gypsum, which can be commercially placed. Besides, there is realistic option of fly ash sale for cement production, building materials industry, road construction, etc.

That is the direction to look at in planning of both road and waterway transportation infrastructure development.

Technical documentation has been completed (Final Design) for construction of a railway track from TPP Kostolac B to the existing railway network and construction of a port for the Danube river transport (Pre-Feasibility Study with General Design).
